HDD Drilling Project: Rio Tinto Iron Ore (Karijini National Park, WA)
Partnered with Rio Tinto to design and deliver an innovative horizontal dewatering well for a large open pit mine.
Eliminated the need for in-pit vertical infrastructure, improving safety and efficiency.
Drilled to 1,305m MD, with 810m of 16” casing and 173m vertical depth.
Included a site-specific slotted production section.
Marked RTIO’s longest 16” cased drill shot and longest water well.
Delivered under an ECI model that enabled a collaborative and innovative solution.
