FMG Iron Bridge Construction Water Supply

Water Project: FMG (Port Hedland WA)

The FMG Iron Bridge Magnetite Project is for the development of a new magnetite mine (including processing and transport facilities) and associated infrastructure at the Iron Bridge Magnetite Project site to support production of 22 wet million tonnes per annum (wmtpa) of high grade, magnetite concentrate product.

The Iron Bridge site comprises the North Star, Eastern Limb, Glacier Valley and West Star magnetite iron ore deposits located located 145km south of Port Hedland.

Cape has been engaged by FMG to construct the infrastructure required for water supply during the construction phase and includes:

  • Construction of approximately 22 km of pipe and all associated fittings, valves and ancillaries
  • Refurbishment of 2 x turkey’s nests
  • Final trim and lining of 1 x new turkey’s nest
  • Installation and commissioning of 4 x diesel driven pump skids including all associated ancillaries
  • Relocation, installation and commissioning of 2 x skid mounted electric driven booster pump skids including all associated ancillaries.
