Perth to Bunbury Highway

Communications Project: Southern Gateway Alliance (Bunbury WA)

Scope of works included the installation of a dedicated fibre optic infrastructure along the Perth to Bunbury Highway to enable communications between the Traffic Operations Centre and the Intelligent Transport Systems  located on the highway.

The installation of a pit and conduit infrastructure along the west side (northbound to Perth) included:

• 50km of 63mm HDPE and40mm Blown Fibre Optic Cable by EcoPlough method
• 15km of 63mm HDPE and40mm Blown Fibre Optic Cable by excavation
• 7.3km of Horizontal Directional Drilling
• Installation of 205 Communications Pits
